Terms of Service
These terms apply when a school, school group, trust or preschool uses our school management platform, including the school dashboard, teacher app, parent app and AI Teacher Assistant.
1. The agreement
By creating an account or using the platform, the school agrees to these terms. The person who signs up confirms that they are authorised to accept them on behalf of the school. Where a school signs a separate order form or agreement with us, that document takes priority where it differs from these terms.
2. Free trial
- New schools can use every module free for 30 days. No payment card is needed.
- At the end of the trial, the school can choose a plan to continue with its data in place, or export its data and close the account.
- We may limit messaging volumes during the trial to prevent misuse.
3. Plans and fees
- Plans are priced per enrolled student per year, billed annually in advance, as shown on the Pricing page or in the school's order form.
- The student count is taken at the start of the academic session. If enrolment grows by more than 10% during the year, the difference is billed at renewal.
- Payment gateway charges, WhatsApp and SMS message charges and GPS hardware are billed separately, as described on the pricing page.
- Indian schools are invoiced in rupees, with GST as applicable.
4. School responsibilities
- Obtain the consent of parents and guardians needed to record student and parent information and to send them messages.
- Keep login details safe and give staff only the access their role needs.
- Make sure information entered, such as marks, fees and attendance, is accurate.
- Use the platform only for running the school and in line with applicable law, including rules on messaging and data protection.
5. Acceptable use
The school and its users must not:
- Send messages through the platform that are unrelated to the school, misleading or unlawful.
- Use the platform to track individuals outside school purposes, including outside bus trip times.
- Try to access other schools' data, break security controls or overload the service.
- Resell or sublicense the platform without our written agreement.
6. AI Teacher Assistant
The AI Teacher Assistant produces drafts to help teachers prepare. Drafts may contain mistakes. Teachers are responsible for reviewing, editing and approving all content before it is used with students. The assistant is for teachers only, and schools must not give students access to it.
7. School data
The school owns its data. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy and Child Data Policy. The school can export its data at any time in standard formats such as Excel and PDF.
8. Availability and support
- We aim to keep the platform available at all times, and schedule maintenance outside school hours wherever possible.
- Support channels depend on the plan: email on Junior, chat and call on Middle, and a dedicated success manager on Senior.
- Third-party services such as payment gateways, WhatsApp and mobile networks are outside our control, and delays in those services are not a breach of these terms.
9. Intellectual property
We own the platform, its software and design. The school receives a right to use it for the duration of its plan. Content created by teachers, including approved worksheets and question papers, belongs to the school.
10. Ending the service
- The school can choose not to renew at the end of any billing year.
- We can suspend accounts for serious misuse or unpaid invoices after giving notice and a reasonable chance to fix the issue.
- After the service ends, the school has 30 days to export its data, after which it is deleted as set out in the Privacy Policy.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability in any year is limited to the fees the school paid us for that year, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will first be discussed in good faith, and if unresolved, handled by the competent courts in India.
13. Questions
